Every dog deserves a second chance

Behind every rescue dog is a story. Some have experienced neglect or abandonment, while others have found themselves in rescue simply because circumstances changed.

Getting a dog into rescue is only the beginning. There are vet bills, food, medication, training, transport and safe places to stay while they wait for their forever home.

Small donations can make a real difference. A few dollars can help cover food, veterinary care or the everyday costs of caring for a dog. And there are many other ways to help too: donate supplies, foster, volunteer, share adoption posts or support a local fundraiser.

Every dog in this book has a story. The rescue organisations featured in Rescue Dogs On Doorsteps work tirelessly to give dogs like these a second chance, and many have generously contributed their stories, photographs and expertise to this project.
