Its not very often that every generation of your family is gathered in the one pace at the same time, which is exactly why this special birthdays like 7oths, 80ths or 90ths deserve to be documented beautifully and preserved as part of your family's story.

I begin by capturing the important groupings. Each individual family unit, family of origin, siblings, cousins, couples, grandparents with their children, and of course the full extended family together. These are the photographs that become keepsakes. The ones that are framed, printed, and passed down.

Then I step back.

The magic almost always happens in between the more formal images. Cousins running off together. Grandparents deep in conversation with a grandchild. Someone tending the chooks while little ones hover nearby. A card game on the veranda. A walk down the driveway. Bare feet, laughter, quiet hugs, the real texture of your family.

I am usually there for around two hours. I keep things relaxed and unobtrusive, blending into the day rather than directing it. I will gently guide when needed, but mostly I observe and anticipate, capturing the authentic rhythm of your family as it naturally unfolds.

These sessions are less about stiff posing and more about preserving connection. The beautiful chaos, the tenderness, the history in motion.
